The Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale has about everyone in blogging land, Instagram and just about any social media platform over the moon excited.  When a sale has it's own hashtag #NSale you know it's big.  Nordstrom's is also a marketing genius to have a 'sneak peak' early access shopping event for their card members.  I've honestly joined in on the excitement and went into my local Nordstrom's and shopped behind the curtains to see some of my wishlist items in person.

Happy Friday!!  Now that school is officially out, the weather is finally warmer and the first day of summer is  next week everyone's travel plans will kick into high gear.  I know we  have lots of vacas planned and most include weekend trips to visit friends and family.  In fact I started packing for the first trip this weekend to attend a family birthday party.  As you can see I start by laying out what I'm going to pack for the main event to make sure I don't miss any of the important accessories.  I then start laying out the other outfits I'll need such as comfy travel day outfits, casual items for before and after the event and all the coordinating shoes I'll need.

Finding the perfect weekender bag is so important and I couldn't be happier with my Vera Bradley Weekender.  It fits so much and looks great while carrying it around town.

Happy Friday, friends! It seems like this week flew by! After this Monday I'm officially on a little "summer break" (AKA I'll only have one class two days a week... I'll take it!), and with my schedule opening up I'm excited to dedicate more time to File to Style- so be on the lookout for some fun posts coming your way! I love wearing pajama sets to bed and these are my favorites! The short sleeves are perfect for the warmer months.

Since trying out this cleanser from Tula last week (and loving it!), I really want to try the exfoliating treatment mask! 

Went to Ulta to find a new eyebrow pencil and came home with Anastasia Brow Powder Duo and new brush. So far I'm really liking the combo.

Anyway, with classes finally winding down and the weather finally warming up here, I've got summer on the brain so obviously I've been spending any free time I have online shopping and compiling a major summer wishlist. Random... but I've been on the hunt for a good, stylish-ish pair of sneakers! A good pair of comfy shoes is something everyone should own, but I've just been having a hard time finding a pair I like! A friend of mine recommended these! Leave other suggestions in the comments below!

If I had a few extra bucks laying around, I'd love to splurge on this little bauble! Just think how pretty the gold will look with a tan during the summer! Plus you know this will be in your collection for years and years... :)

Late night shopping (and a little #treatyoself for finishing my hw!) lead to this purchase. Have any of you tried out this cleanser by Tula? I'm kind of a skincare hoarder, but the probiotic science behind this product line seems so interesting!

Speaking of skincare we both use this moisturizer and love it! I only started using it a few days ago but I can already tell such a difference in the tone of my skin. (for reference I have rosaca and very pink skin, so its a miracle when I find something that works!)

Happy Friday! This week has been a long one, especially with the start of finals! If you're anything like me and have been camped out in the coffee shop since Monday you definitely deserve to treat yo'self! Lucky for you we've rounded up some of our favorite finds from this week to brighten your day!

If you live in a place that is cold 8/12 months of the year (ahem Michigan...thanks for the snow storm last weekend!) I'm sure you start collecting new winter gear in April too, but this jacket  was too cute to pass up! Its even perfect for chilly spring days! Now onto some springtime fashion... I just bought this Lilly top and am loving it! It's the perfect, casual fit for a simple t-shirt that you can style tons of different ways!

S'well water bottles are my favorite and they now sell them at Target! They come in tons of different colors and patterns but I'm especially loving this one!

I just got this pair of sunglasses and I've been wearing them nonstop- even more than my higher-end ones! (PSST, they're only $20, you need these!)

I don't really need a new backpack for class... but this one has a removable cross-body bag! How cool is that??

Wow...it's Friday already.  TGIF!!  This week has had it's ups and downs.  One half of File to Style was in Florida soaking in the sun, while the other half was shoveling show during a major winter storm.  Let's see...who had it better?!?

While stuck inside I spent more time than I should admit browsing Pinterest for office inspiration.  I seemed to stumble on a common theme...gallery walls.  In my home office what started as a few pictures above my desk has now turned into a full blown gallery wall.  For me, having all the pictures above my desk serves not only as inspiration but also motivation to work hard.  Not only do I work full time, I'm also married and a mom to 3 young kids. I work from home 3 days a week and having all the pictures front and center reminds me why I work so hard.

TGIF...am I right?! This has been one of the longest weeks I've had in a while.
